This was a bank Holiday so I decided to finish off my Artist
sheet on Yvonne Gilbert and my final design for my first poster.
On Tuesday I completed another artist research sheet on Mark
Langenenckert. I continued work on poster 1 then did some research on maps for
my tech file. Maps play a big part in the Merlin episodes to do with quests and
battles. I looked online and found a map of Albion based on the TV Series.
I talked to my dad how to do this and he suggested shammy
leather and ink so I did some experimenting and found it effective.
I worked on this on Wednesday and was really pleased with
the result. I think I will put it in the pouch I made a few weeks ago. I am
really enjoying experimenting so on Thursday I did some craft shopping online
and started a cross stitch.
On college on Friday I did a lino print of a dragon. I chose
a dragon because it is quite important in Merlin (Merlin is a dragon Lord,
Kilgarra the Great Dragon, Arthurs emblem and surname – Pendragon). I am
pleased with the stages of the lino print but not the final outcome because it
is a bit smudged.
Over the weekend I started a portrait on Velour for poster
2, worked on my sketchbook and made notes of references on post its.
