Week 5 (28/12/2016) Shawlands.

I have started to develop my boards and I have completed the Hungry Caterpillar in planning stages and in my sketchbook I have started to do some examples of Artist Studies/Illustrators’ and I have decided on Quentin Blake (Roald Dahl Illustrator), Nick Sharrett (Illustrator of Jacqueline Wilson books such as Tracy Beaker) and Author/Illustrator of Katie Morag Mairi Hedderwick. I am particularly interested in Katie Morag/Mairi Hedderwick as I want to write and illustrate children’s book as my career choice (I have always been a big fan of Jane Hissey of ‘Old Bear’ Series).

I have also bought some old children’s books and magazines from charity shops to look through and make notes, get some idea from.

I have started to put drawings in my sketch book and plan layouts of the display boards.
