Week 2 (07/12/15) Shawlands

I have looked at different websites including the six book challenge and BBC Bitesize reading for pleasure to see what books are recommended for Keystage 1 and 2. I found some books I can remember such ‘We are all going on a Bear Hunt’ and ‘Katie Morag’ and some new ones I had never heard off. I talked to my mum and she can remember reading some of the books with my brother and I. On the older key stage, she can remember some books such ‘Stig of the Dump’.

It seems that I am some books are popular and some are classic so I need to think about what will last on the display boards/wall but still have appeal. I think going for books which are both classic and popular will be best for me.

I also did two customer boards and I found doing the one about a girl easier because I looked at things that are popular with my cousin and my neighbour who is age 9.

I did a board full of characters also which included the Gruffalo and Roald Dahl characters.

I found this bit fun as I could look at different examples and put in some which appealed to me and some that were popular.
